Commercial Umbrella
Contract Compliance Coverage
Many commercial contracts, leases, and vendor agreements require liability limits that exceed what a standard general liability policy provides. A commercial umbrella satisfies these requirements — allowing your business to pursue contracts, sign leases, and work with clients who demand higher limits than your base policy alone can meet.

What You Need to Know About Contract Compliance Coverage
Commercial Lease Requirements
Commercial landlords commonly require $2M–$5M in combined liability limits — more than a standard $1M GL policy provides. An umbrella satisfies these requirements and is typically much less expensive than increasing the primary GL limit to match.
Client and Vendor Contracts
Construction contracts, government contracts, and large client service agreements frequently specify minimum liability requirements. An umbrella makes your business eligible for contracts that would otherwise require you to purchase higher standalone limits at much greater cost.
Certificate of Insurance
Umbrella coverage can be included on certificates of insurance issued to landlords, clients, and other parties requiring evidence of coverage. The certificate should list the umbrella carrier and limits alongside the underlying policies.
